This curated selection highlights under-seen photographs from New York in the 1980s and 1990s, offering a more intimate view of Galella’s work beyond his most widely published images.

Patrick D. Pagnano (1947–2018) was a leading New York street photographer of the 1970s and ’80s, known for his “stream of consciousness” style that captured fleeting, story-rich moments.
